Sales Support Lead

Energy Federation, Inc., a national leader in promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy is looking for a Sales Support Lead to oversee a staff of four to five Sales Support Administrators.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with Manager of Sales & Client Services Support to oversee a staff of 4 to 5.
  • Balance and oversee any additional sales related administrative tasks or projects, including but not limited to:
    • Manage both wholesale and consumer email inbox
    • Manage files for 3PLs
    • Manage data files for Kit programs
    • Provide tracking as needed for orders shipped
    • Maintain various spreadsheets and reports for either internal or for external customers
    • Manage school fund raiser orders
    • Administrative tasks such as order entry, databases management, track open orders
    • Process RMAs, generate freight quotes
    • Other tasks as needed
  • Motivate representatives and provide coaching to enhance performance.
  • Provide direction to new hire employees as well as seasoned staff regarding operational issues.
  • Support and help manage team and department goals and set expectations with Sales & Client Support Team for Key Performance Indicators and hold accountable.
  • Review attendance, punctuality and time off.
  • Maintain, develop and distribute reports as they relate to the sales department.
  • Liaise with the Training and Development Manager and management to identify training needs and participate in training meetings.
  • Help to create departmental policies and procedures.
  • Process weekly department payroll reviewing for schedule adherence, timeliness and attendance
  • Participate in recruiting and retention activities as needed.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in training development and planning to ensure consistency with client requirements and goals, as well as EFI internal metrics.
  • Help to create departmental policies and procedures, and effectively communicate changes as they arise.
  • Foster and maintain good working relationships with other areas of the business
  • Participate in occasional off-site events and conferences
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience:

  • BS / BA degree or above is preferred though not required.
  • Experience managing and mentoring people is preferred but not required.
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training; in a fast paced business environment is essential. 

Specific Knowledge and Skills:

  • Interest in energy conservation industry and willingness to support EFI’s mission statement and operations credo.
  • Uncompromised willingness to set an example with regard to attendance, punctuality and schedule adherence.  
  • Proven problem solving skills are essential, the ability to anticipate, to act quickly to mitigate potential issues and minimize their impact.
  • Ability to work 8 AM to 5 PM with some flexibility to assist in and covering for others department leaders during leave time.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead teams to success
  • Ability to adjust and reprioritize throughout the day as needs arise;
  • Consistently positive demeanor
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Willingness to continue to learn and grow
  • Proficiency with Adobe PDF,  MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Publisher) for the purpose of business communications
